This is a report on the Third Annual Montague
Expedition from Williams.
In July, 2005, the entire Williams Soaring
Center glider operation reloacted to Siskiyou County Airport
for about a week. The nearby town is called Montague, which
is adjacent to Yreka, in Northern California.
Two similar expeditions had been conducted:
Some pilots were already at Siskiyou, assisting
with the 18 Meter U.S. National Competition.
On Wednesday, July 20 a few more arrived,
and by Friday, we were in full swing. There were several
people from Oregon with their ships, and Kenny had either
rides or students throughout each day in the ASK-21. The
last flights were on Thursday, July 28th.
