In the mid 1990’s, I had taken on the responsibility of creating, structuring and maintaining the database of turnpoints for various glider sites. The files were used by pilots for navigation purposes. I had assistance from Jim Darke and many other pilots in selecting and refining the included points, and worked closely with John Leibacher, who then published the TP file in various formats on the Turnpoint Exchange. Changes to the database used at WSC were always coordinated with WSC management. In 2015, Jim volunteered to become the manager of the Williams Soaring Center turn point (TP) database.
