U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Subject: Requirements For 760-Channel VHF Radio For Aeronautical Operations Date: October, 1990

1. PURPOSE: The purpose of this advisory circular is to strongly encourage aircraft owners to upgrade their VHF air- ground radio communication systems. This circular also describes and updates civil air traffic control frequencies in the very high frequency (118.000 to 136.975) band. The 136.000 to 136.975 MHz band became available for aeronautical use on January 1, 1990.

2. CANCELLATION: Advisory Circular 90-50C, VHF Radio Frequency Assignment Plan for Aeronautical Operations, dated 3/10/86, is canceled.
