VSA Winter Seminar Series Schedule – 2016/2017

Well, it’s getting darker earlier these days, the mornings are brisk, and pilots are making wave flights. That can only mean one thing – fall has arrived and winter is nearly upon us. So it must be time again to start planning this year’s VSA Winter Seminar Series! We currently have two speakers arranged and one date firmly planned and I am working to round out the rest of the schedule. But I wanted to start this thread before the schedule is complete so folks can put the first seminar on their calendars early, as this is also the date of the VSA Holiday Party. And we all know how everyone’s December schedules tend to fill up fast!

So here’s what we currently have arranged:

Seminar #1 – NEW DATE – January 28, 2017 – VSA Holiday Dinner and speaker Pete Alexander
Seminar #2 – February TBD, 2017 –
Seminar #3 – March TBD, 2017 – Kempton Izuno

I’ll update this thread with more details as they become available. In addition, keep an eye on the forum for Cora’s posts with the specifics of each event.

Pat

VSA Winter Seminar Series Schedule (2015-16)

Hi everyone! Well, Oktoberfest is behind us now (and what a great one it was!), so that must mean that we are headed into the Winter Seminar Series! If you were at the Oktoberfest, then you’ve already heard about the fantastic lineup of speakers we have arranged for you this year. If not, you’ll definitely want to mark your calendars now so you are sure not to miss any of these exciting speakers! Speaking of calendars, all of these dates are in the calendar on the Williams Today Forum. Just click on the Calendar link above.

Here are the dates and the speakers:

Seminar #1 – December 5th, 2015 – Pete Alexander (this is also the date of the VSA Holiday Dinner – don’t miss it!)
Seminar #2 – January 16th, 2016 – Key Dismukes
Seminar #3 – March 12th, 2016 – Kempton Izuno

The specifics for each event will be announced as we get closer, but in general they will all start about 5:00. I just wanted to get the dates out to everyone as soon as possible so you all can put them on your calendars.

Hope to see you at the seminars!
Pat

November 22 VSA Dinner Seminar

Save the date!!

Saturday, November 22, 2014

Kick off event for VSA Winter Seminar series, 2014 – 2015!

It’s that time again – planning for the Winter Seminar Series.

We’re fortunate to have Pete Alexander “98” back from the 33rd World Gliding Championships in Lezno, Poland to take us on a virtual tour of his experiences and insights.

Thanks in advance to Pete, for imparting your experience and wisdom gained from participating in such an awesome event.

We will have the event catered – Mexican food.

Dinner $15.00 as usual.

RSVP Noelle@williamssoaring.com or 530-473-5600 for dinner and tows.

Think about topics for Winter Seminars this year and bring your ideas. We, at WSC, have a world class facility with many world class pilots. Our pilots have been to so many locations to soar and race this year! We have a group of awesome speakers, and most importantly, new and enthusiastic pilots in our community. I look forward to the “hangar gatherings” this winter.

See you there – watch for updates!!
